The final Midcoast Recreation Center Skating School show of the season will have a distinct Disney feel.

The spring ice show, "Decades of Wonder," will feature Disney favorites throughout the years, said Kitrina Patterson, MRC skating director.

The shows will be on Saturday, March 30 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 31 at 1 p.m. at MRC,

Skaters from the Learn to Skate program, featured figure skating soloists and groups will perform to music from Disney that inspires them to love skating on ice, Patterson said.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for children, while seniors and children under age 4 are free. Tickets are available at the door on the days of the events.

Patterson said to bring friends and family to help support a local non-profit that provides not only an excellent program to the community, but also scholarships, and financial aid to its participants.

"This year, we are asking that people bring brand-new stuffed animals as we are collecting donations for Rosie's Hugs and [the stuffed animals] can be thrown on the ice after their favorite skater performs during the show. Rosie's Hugs began two years ago as a way to bring comfort to scared and sick children at two local emergency rooms. This organization collects new or 'like-new' stuffed animals that are then handed out to young patients in our local hospitals."
