Well, spring has finally sprung. When the wind stops blowing a gale around here, I will attempt to get some yard work done.

We had some delightful guests last weekend. We had a nice visit with Piper, Suzie and Sophie. So nice to see them.

On April 13, beginning at 5 p.m., at the Snowdusters' Clubhouse on Fisher Road, Unity, there will be a benefit spaghetti supper for Anthony Brillard. Following the supper, there will be music by his sister, Bridgette. I understand there will be an assortment of luscious desserts. See ya' there.

Good luck to the new Board of Selectmen at the Thorndike Town Office.

On Saturday, April 20, the train will depart the Unity Station at 1 p.m. and arrive at Farwell's General Store in Thorndike and participate in a scavenger hunt on the train and around the old mill.

There will be snacks, music and fun on the train. Wear your Easter bonnet, fun for all ages and there will be indoor options for inclement weather. The train will depart Thorndike station around 4 p.m. and arrive back in Unity about 4:30 p.m. Adults, $30; children, $20. More info next week.

Harlan Ellison is quoted as saying, "The two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity."

Have a great week and get out and enjoy Mother Nature.
