The Youth Summer Tennis Camps return to the Midcoast Recreation Center.

Beginning at the end of June, children ages 4-18 can participate in four different summer tennis camps, based on their age and skill level.

Through games and activities, each camp will teach children how to play tennis, how to work together as a team, and help keep youngsters fit and active during the summer.

“We are so excited for another fun summer on the courts,” said Seth Meyer, MRC head pro and tennis director. “I am excited to lead the tennis camps this summer along with our experienced, certified instructors. There are opportunities for kids of all experience levels, and we can’t wait to get started.”

The Red Ball Tennis Summer Camp, for ages 4-7, and the Youth Summer Camp, for ages 7-12, will be held at MRC’s indoor tennis courts, and open to children of any skill range. The instructors in each camp will group youngsters based on their experience to ensure that every child learns something new and improves their skills.

The Teen Summer Camp, for ages 11-18, also is available to any skill range, but classes will be held at Camden Hills Regional High School’s outdoor courts.

The High Performance Camp, which also is for youth ages 11-18, is for children who have some experience playing in tournaments, and who look to improve their stroke technique, strategy and tactical skills. This camp also will be held on Camden Hills’ outdoor courts.
