Last call at the Town Office for Tax Club applications. If you want to pay your 2019 taxes monthly over 12 months, avoid interest, and avoid having your name listed in the Town Report, this is the program for you. Your taxes must be paid up to date to be eligible for the Tax Club. The deadline for applications and first payment is April 30. Call the tax collector at 342-5411 if you have any questions.

2018 lien filing is scheduled for May 2. Property owners have until May 1 to pay outstanding 2018 taxes and avoid a tax lien on their property.

There is a tax-acquired property being offered for sale by the town. See the ad in the classified section. Bid packets are available in the Town Office and online at searsmont.com.

The transfer station is scheduled to return to its Crie Road home the first Saturday in May, and recyclables will again be accepted. Demo Debris Day will be Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
