The Regional School Unit 71 budget meeting has been scheduled for Monday, May 20, at 6 p.m. at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast. This is the opportunity for residents to suggest changes to the budget in various areas, as it is run in a town meeting fashion, with motions and discussion from the floor by registered voters in the member communities. The budgets for the last few years and the proposed budget can be viewed on the RSU 71 website. We have heard that the projected increase for the 2019-2020 year is 3% overall. The warrant for the budget meeting will be available on the town website. Once finalized, the budget will be put to a referendum vote on Tuesday, June 11.

Paving and snow plow contracts are being put out to bid again this year. Anyone interested in more information should contact the Town Office at 342-5411.
