Congratulations to Alan Gibbs Jr. upon his graduation from Kennebec Valley Community College recently. Dustin and I are very proud of him.

Thank you, Chris for all your help around the yard. I try to find someone to hire to help me with yard work, but I guess no one wants the job. When I was growing up in Thorndike, all the town kids worked and helped their neighbors. I guess times have changed and not for the better.

I went to Roberts Greenhouse in Brooks recently and what healthy and beautiful plants they have. I bought several plants and brought them home to plant in my containers and garden. I will definitely make them my first stop next year to buy my flowers. If you have never been there, make plans to go. You will not be disappointed.

We had a nice visit from Halle and Tyler recently. So nice to see them.

Congratulations to all the area seniors that have graduated and those about to graduate. Job well done.

Have you got your garden planted yet? I plan on getting mine in this weekend. Or as soon as there is a sunny day to plant. The way the weather is going, I will not have to water often.

Condolences to the family of Barbara Maxim Quimby. I remember when she lived in Unity and my parents would visit them and they also came to our house. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tom Lehrer was quoted as saying, "Life is like a sewer: What you get out of it depends on what you put into it."
