Joanne Delores Bouch Wilcox, 84, of Brooks, passed away May 28, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brewer on Aug. 21, 1934, she was the daughter of Able Bouch and Barbara (Sargent) Cook.

Joanne married Clayton E. Wilcox in 1955 and they were married for 40 years before his passing Feb. 7, 1995. She was dedicated to her family and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, along with a foster mother to four children in need. While raising her family, she attended school to become a LPN, later opening and running a boarding home in Brooks for many years. She loved animals and was dedicated to helping others, including volunteering at the local food pantry.

Joanne was predeceased by her husband, Clayton, and her parents.

She is survived by her four children, Cheryl Wilcox, Deborah Wilcox, Andrew Wilcox and his wife Evie, and Barbara Taylor and her husband David; grandchildren, Brandi, Nicole, Ryan and his wife Tasha, Calvin, Michael, Kelly, Andrew, Holly, Crystal and Anna; great-grandchildren, Kimora, Leeandro, Averrie, Kiymia, Austyn, Kyng, Axtyn and Scout; sister, Marjorie Luce and her husband George; brother; David Bouch and his wife Diane; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in August.
