Hello All,

It was sure nice to see that sun shining and warmer weather. My sister Marilyn and I went to the Frye Mountain Cemetery, Carter Cemetery, and checked it out. I came home and had a tick crawling on me. The ticks have been bad. Now of course, I feel like something is still crawling on me. That is an awful feeling. Ugh! I imagine it happens to many others too, not just me.

My flowers are blooming, but look pretty pathetic from what they used to look like. Lilacs still blooming here. Snowball bushes are loaded with white blooms. Reminds me of my Mom. She loved her flowers. Nana Doughty loved flowers, I gave her some years ago, but cannot remember what it was now. They both loved dahlias. Signs of summer with all the flowers and flowering bushes blooming out. Now about those darn bugs, if we didn't have them. For real.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Until next week,

Take care out and about. Beware out fishing and swimming. Use caution. I am afraid of the water so I must have overreacted, my poor kids. I used to watch all the littles at the lake, unbeknown to them. And I cannot swim. But had to keep an eye out.

Have fun, kids, as school is out for most of you, and be safe. Enjoy this great weather, even though we get those rain showers.

Today Hartley Curtis was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery and I will miss him. He certainly loved to tell us stories of his Frye Mountain homestead, and his days going there ever since then. We all thoroughly enjoyed his tales. Goodbye, Hartley! Never forget.
