The following is news from the Country View Golf Club:

On Friday, June 21, Gary Snowden of Belmont continued to demonstrate his keen ability to hit pin-point tee shots, as he recorded his fourth career hole-in-one. Snowden aced the 125-yard, par-3 fourth hole at Country View. He used a 5-iron for the shot, witnessed by John Cushman.

On Thursday, June 20, in the women's league weekly scramble, first went to the team of Donna Short, Judy Arsenault and Joette Fields and second to Jean Raven, Doris Cowell and Nancy Carney. The pin winner was: Joette Fields, 11-6 on the fourth hole. The group plays each Thursday at 9 a.m. and all golfers are welcome.

On Friday, June 28, that day's league play will kick off and the club looks for golfers to participate. Play is modified Stableford handicapping for scoring. Play will continue for 15 weeks with a champion honored at the end of the season. There also will be an end-of-year dinner for participants. All golfers are welcome. Sign-up in the clubhouse.
