There will be music, food, a live auction and fabulous basket raffle, all to benefit Avian Haven's wonderful work! Chat with Diane and Marc and their dedicated team, and meet your fellow Avian Haven volunteers and supporters! Find out about exciting plans for the years ahead!

You can get a sneak peek at some of the auction and raffle items, which include a bronze sculpture by Forest Hart, great outdoor gear, and much, much more at Avian Haven's Facebook page, Facebook.com/AvianHaven.org.

Voice of Freedom

Last week Erna Keller announced that she will not be running for re-election as treasurer. She will be done as of our March 2020 town meeting.

There will be a celebration for Roy Ward who will turn 100 years young on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Dirigo Grange Hall in Freedom starting at 1 p.m. Since Roy is no longer living in Freedom, the oldest resident is now Hazel Cross, mother of Myrick Cross.

Elaine Higgins is now the owner of a brand new front porch! She is so happy that it was built and now dirt won’t track into her home by her or her cat! Enjoy your porch to the fullest, Elaine!

Marilyn Perry and I attended the chicken supper last week at the Freedom Congregational Church. Only two more to go and their season of suppers will be over. Show your support by attending the suppers and breaking bread with your friends and neighbors.

Until next week, stay safe, stay warm/cool, be kind to your neighbor and God bless.
