Spencer B. Crampton passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2019.

Born Aug. 3, 1959, he graduated from Litchfield (Connecticut) High School in 1977, and Cobleskill College in 1979. Spencer lived in Litchfield County most of his life, and later in Swanville.

He had a great sense of humor and always wanted to make people laugh … he was the life of a party — funny he chose to leave us on Friday the 13th with a full moon.

Spencer was a true Yankee and could fix anything. He was a master woodworker. He loved to volunteer at Litchfield Hills Road Race and help others with many projects. Most recently he found great reward and happiness helping the ladies at Belfast Soup Kitchen.

He will be missed and loved by his family and friends.

Spencer is survived by his step-father David Haas; brothers Jeff and Eric Crampton; sisters Ella Crampton Knox and Kimberly Haas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Frances Haas and his father James Crampton.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled for a later date.

Donations in Spencer’s memory can be made to Bellfast Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 1153, Belfast, ME 04915.
