The selectmen’s meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 28, starting at 6 p.m. at the Town Office. All meetings are open to the public.
Public supper
The last public supper for the year will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Freedom Congregational Church Hall. The menu will consist of turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, baked beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, dinner rolls, punch, coffee, tea and assorted desserts. The price is $8 per adult, and $3 for children 12 and under. Children 3 and under eat free!
The hall is handicapped-accessible via the back door. All proceeds benefit church projects.
Hunters' breakfast
Freedom Volunteer Fire Department will have its annual Hunters' Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 10 a.m. The menu will consist of lots of coffee, juice, eggs to order, sausage, bacon, toast, pancakes, beans and hash browns.
The suggested donation is $7. The event will be held at the Freedom Fire Station, 75 Pleasant St.
The breakfast will fuel you up for a long day in the woods. One does not have to be a hunter to attend. Bring the family out, meet your friends and neighbors by attending a meal that is affordable and delicious!

Remove flowers
The Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association Board requests that all flowers, arrangements, etc., of any kind be removed from the cemetery by Nov. 2, or they will be disposed of. They will remove the veteran American flags after Veterans Day.

The FVFD is available to clean your chimney in preparation for winter. Donations are accepted.
