Marguerite M. (Russell) Larrabee, 94, went home to heaven to be with her savior and all her predeceased family: her husband, John; her children, Nancy Larrabee, Gloria Newbert and her children, Georgia, Angela and Sami, Diane Mylen, Perry Larrabee and Wanda Larrabee; her siblings, Warren "Sam" Russell, Albert Russell, Johnny Russell, Bertha "Bea" Hunter, Hattie Newell, Louise Green and Mavis Hanning; and her parents, Earl and Fannie.

Marguerite was born to Earl and Fannie Russell March 28, 1926. She attended Albion schools. Marguerite succumbed to COVID-19 April 15, 2020, at Tall Pines.

Margurerite is survived by her children, Dennis Larrabee and his wife Cindy of Florida, Stephen Larrabee and his wife Marge of Knox, Bruce Larrabee and his wife Suzanne of Augusta, Annette Seekins and her husband Harry of Belfast, and Robert Larrabee of Knox, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Marguerite "Peggy" was a mother, homemaker and wife. She lived in Knox after marrying John and she was the oldest living Knox resident. In 2017, she received a Plaque of Honor and the Boston Post cane from the town of Knox. Marguerite was a mom to any child who entered her home, caring for each child, making them meals, fixing their skinned knees and giving hugs freely. She was known for her homemade biscuits and from-scratch cooking. If you arrived at mealtime, all you needed to do was to pull up a chair and enjoy your meal.

In the past few days, I received texts and calls describing my mother as having a heart of gold, non-judgmental, loving, positive, humorous, a great soul, a tough cookie, such a character, my second mom, and a strong woman, to name a few. To add to the list, she was a great mom!

Mom, you are irreplaceable and will be greatly missed by so many! A celebration of life will be held at a later date when it can be done safely.
