The stock car racing season may have just started for drivers at Wiscasset Speedway, but the action, and competition, ran hot with the second, third and fourth weekends of fast cars and happy fans on Saturday, Aug. 8, 15 and 22.

Knox, Waldo and Lincoln county drivers grabbed strong, and, in some cases, top-five finishes all three weeks.

On Aug. 15, Ryan Ripley of Thomaston took home the win in the Modified 30-lap event.

On Aug. 8, Drew Fowler of Thorndike finished first in the 100-lap Ideal Enduro #1 event.
