Hello Monroe!

Back to school photographs of students from pre-K through high school are popping up on my Facebook feed. Seeing the smiles on the kids of family and friends makes life seem more like normal in this currently not normal reality we’re living in. Thoughts are with all schools as they navigate a new academic year in the midst of a pandemic.

Get well soon

Speedy recovery wishes go out to Bruce Stubbs of Monroe. Bruce was recently in a motorcycle accident on Bog Road in Jackson. Two broken ribs and quite a few stitches later, he is on the mend! Many, many thanks to Randy Hanson and friends, the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department and the Brooks Ambulance for their fast response time and assistance at the scene. Also thank you to all who have called or stopped by to visit Bruce as he bounces back.
