The fourth annual Waldo County YMCA's "Pancake Triple Stack," took place virtually on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The event was one of six in the RunBelfast Race Series. This year, due to COVID-19, runners completed a mile, five miles, or 5- and 10-kilometer options wherever they could do so safely.

Katie Buckley, 41, of Searsmont finished first in the 5K event with a time of 22:15.

Christopher Sewall, 53, of Hope was the first male finisher, and second overall, in the 5K at 28:56.

There also were one-mile, five-mile and 10K distance options available for runners or walkers.

Shawn Rumery, 34, of Searsmont opted to pair the "Triple Stack" with his virtual running of the Boston Marathon. Rumery completed 26.2 miles in 3:06:04.

Cory Davis, 32, of Rockport finished the 10K distance in 57:46.

Leonard Kalinowski, 75, of Belfast completed five miles in 1:21:11.

The individual 5K results were: 1, Katie Buckley, 41, Searsmont, 22:15; 2, Christopher Sewall, 53, Hope, 28:56; 3, Matt Koskela, 40, Belfast, 29:17; 4, Mara Gallagher, 34, Belfast, 30:18; 5, Curtis Kozielec, 47, Hope, 30:38; 6, Paula Herron, 63, Northport, 31:53; 7, Faith Boynton, 38, Belfast, 33:22; 8, Elissa Koskela, 39, Belfast, 33:25; 9, Rebekah Harings, 39, Belfast, 34:55; and 10, Diane Davis, 50, Randolph, 42:12.

Supporters were Russell Werkman, 54, Waterville, and Kate Ryan, 42, Hope.

The remaining RunBelfast 2020 race series includes: Rollie’s “Run for Kids” 5K, Saturday, Oct. 3.

Closed to those who are registered for the race, RunBelfast will not accept registrations for individual participants in the "Run for Kids" as part of the series.
