The Searsport soccer teams squared off with George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill in recent days, as the Vikings came up on the short end in the high school pitch affairs.
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, the Eagles soared to a 7-2 win over the Viking boys, while on Monday, Oct. 5, the Viking girls were doubled up by the Eagles 4-2, also at Searsport.

At Searsport Oct. 6, the Eagles opened an otherwise close contest in the second half and prevailed by five scores. GSA led 2-0 at halftime.
Eli Law and Gabe Kneeland netted goals for the Vikings and Chase Brassbridge one assist for the hosts, while Arden Weaver (2 goals), Franklin Sealander (goal), Cyrus Blake (goal), Jonah Reah (goal), Matt Astbury (goal) and Will Cashman (goal) scored for the Eagles.
GSA held a 20-3 edge in shots and 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Jed Sawyer and Brady Hutchins split time in goal for the Eagles and had one save, while Josh Wright and Sean Paige made 15 saves in net for the Vikings.
