On Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, Phyllis Blake, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 85.

Phyllis was born Sept. 12, 1935, in Belfast to Charles and Mabel Knowlton. Family meant everything to her, constantly doing whatever she could for Scott, her husband of 64 years, and their three children, Herbert, John, and Heather. Phyllis was a devout Christian, passionate about music, and loved spending her time reading by the wood stove.

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, Mabel and Charles, sisters Josephine, Betty and Adeline, brother and sister-in-law Frank and Dot, and granddaughter Kayla.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Blake; brother Charles Knowlton; children Herbert Blake and his wife Kim, John Blake, and Heather Flanders and her husband James; her grandchildren, Nicholas Bowden, Erin Blake and Kyle Blake; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Bowden, Elizabeth Bowden and their mother, Nichole Bowden.

Phyllis was a humble person who never liked a lot of attention; to honor that, her remembrance will be kept simple. There will be a small gathering of family and friends Sunday, Nov. 1, from noon to 4 p.m. at 42 Bear Mountain Way, Swanville.
