Ronald Lee Baker, age 58, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, in Bucksport after a fatal vehicular accident. Ronald was born April 13, 1962, and his joyous arrival was noted by the Bangor Daily News as the second child of the Bakers to be born on Friday, the 13th, just two years apart.

Ronald was a lifetime resident of Frankfort, where he owned and operated his construction company for the last 17 years. Ronald loved his work and wore a contagious smile wherever he went. He was always willing to lend a hand to others in need and will be greatly missed. Ronald had a special way of engaging a person in lengthy conversations about anything. He was a 1980 graduate of Searsport District High School and spent most of his life in Waldo County, raising his son and looking after his parents.

When you saw Ronald, you saw his son, Alex; they were each other’s best friend and were constantly planning for the next project together. Ronald adored visiting with and teaching things to his grandson, Isaac, and was looking forward to meeting his second grandson, who was born just days after his passing.

Ronald is survived by his parents, Earl and Mildred (Littlefield) Baker of Frankfort; his son, Alex, and his wife, Susan, along with their sons, Isaac and Ethan, and black Lab Nora of Gray; his brother, Randy, and wife Althea of Frankfort; his nephew, Brent, and wife Kristy, along with their sons, Memphis and Declan, of Frankfort.

The family will be holding a graveside service at Pilgrims Home Cemetery in Monroe  Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.
