Kandice M. Pomeroy, 57, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, after losing her battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 5, 1963, to Juanita (Davis) and Donald Dinsmore Sr.

Known to all as Kandi, she enjoyed crocheting, crosswords and spending time with her family and friends.

She was a graduate of Belfast Area High School, class of 1981, where she played some field hockey and loved baton twirling. After graduation she became a stay-at-home mom and volunteered at Searsport Head Start while her children attended.

Kandi worked various jobs waitressing and in customer service through the years. She enjoyed people and bringing smiles to those she served and worked with until she could no longer work because of an injury to her back at 16.

She was predeceased by her mother and ex-husband Ricky Pomeroy Sr.

She is survived by her father; siblings Donald Dinsmore Jr., Michelle Dinsmore and Jean Greenleaf; her children, Loretta Foster and husband Christopher Foster, Kristi Hileman and husband Matthew Hileman, Ricky Pomeroy Jr. and longtime girlfriend Dorothy Rego; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date to be announced for those who wish to come.
