Rep. Vickie Doudera knocked on doors this election season, even though she was running unopposed for her seat in the Maine House of Representatives, District 94.

Doudera went door-to-door to hear what people think, and have conversations about their ideas and issues, she said. While a member of the Democratic party, she strives to represent everyone in her district.

Her district encompasses the towns of Camden, Rockport and Islesboro, where she received 3,123, 1,907 and 380 votes, respectively.

She was elected in 2018 to her first term representing District 94. She is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Energy Utilities and Technology.

She and her husband owned and operated an inn for 12 years. Doudera now works as a real estate agent. She is the author of eight books, including "Moving to Maine" and a murder mystery series.

During her second term, Doudera wants to continue working on health care affordability and increasing providers in Maine. She believes people have to have affordable health care, which she sees as a right.
