Janice Marilyn (Bullock) Phillips, born Aug. 30, 1938, in Norwood, Mass., to Lawrence and Ethel (Ekberg) Bullock, passed peacefully Nov. 11, 2020, at the age of 82 in her home surrounded by family and close friends. Lucky, her devoted dog, was also by her side, just as he was during her most trying times.

In addition to her parents, Jan was predeceased by her sister, Joanne Catherine Cherry, and her beloved dog Sonny.

Our mom will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert Phillips Sr.; her children, Larry (Robin) of Casco; David (Lisa) of Irmo, S.C.; Bobby of Frankfort; Rick of Irmo, S.C.;, Ken (Donna) of Frankfort; and Gary (Hailee) of Winterport. She will also be dearly missed by her sister Maureen Carlberg of Windham, her 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to family, her close friends will continue to fondly remember her, especially Gloria, Venecia and Sharon.

Jan was a devoted wife, mother and Christian. She found joy in painting, being a passionate Republican, and particularly loved her Bible study group. Although these things brought her joy, nothing pleased her more than spending time with her family. She was proud of every accomplishment her sons and their children made and was sure to make it known.

She was a member of the Stockton Springs Community Church for over 28 years. They will deeply miss her sweet smile, her beautiful voice, and her positive attitude that she maintained even during the most difficult times. She was the strongest person we knew and an inspiration to all who knew her.
