Mustangs, Vikings, Panthers among regional all stars

While the high school pitch season was shortened and significantly altered by always-present COVID-19, that did not stop members of the Maine Soccer Coaches' Association to announce the organization's regional all-star teams.

Eight student-athletes from Medomak Valley of Waldoboro, Mount View of Thorndike and Searsport were honored across three classes and regions.

Typically, selected senior athletes also would participate in an all-star game, but those games were canceled.

The following is a breakdown of honored Midcoast student-athletes:

Girls

Class C North — Mount View’s Gabby Allen and Gabby Ravin, senior forwards.

Class B South — Medomak Valley’s Abby Lash, senior midfielder.

Class D South — Searsport’s Makenzie Alley, senior midfielder.

Boys

Class C North — Mount View’s Sean Raven, senior midfielder.

Class B South — Medomak Valley’s Addison Mellor, junior forward.

Class D South — Searsport's Sam Cahill, sophomore forward, and Gabe Kneeland, senior midfielder.
