And just like that…it's December. Thanksgiving has come and gone, and for most, it was probably quite different this year. We really missed the community dinner and compensated by making a full, traditional meal at home. It took the two of us an entire week to finish off the leftovers.

We've been getting into Christmas preparations. Thanks to the unseasonably warm weather (despite the windstorm and heavy rain), I've noticed that a lot of outdoor decorations are up. Many thanks to the volunteers who replaced the flags with the wreaths on the poles in the village. Take a drive past the church after dark to see the lights on the decorated outdoor pulpit, Christmas tree and Santa and his sleigh. Great job! Church services will continue to be held drive-in style at 10 a.m. on Sunday. The Thrift Store remains closed.

Please continue to support local businesses this holiday season. Yes, you can dine-in at Ralph's Cafe for a few more weeks. They are open Friday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 722-3236 to make a reservation. Carry out also available.

Carol Hegstrom's mother-in-law, Joyce Halpin, would like to thank everyone who sent cards or came by for her 90th birthday. We wish her many more.

Get well wishes are needed for Russell Lord and Fred Jackson. Please join me in hoping for their speedy recoveries.

Until next time…peace. And, as always, please contact me with your news or events.
