Montville selectmen continue to try to maintain recycling in town. The Freedom recycling trailer, which has been borrowed on a temporary basis, has been working adequately. The board is waiting to hear from Freedom selectmen about the cost to rent the trailer. Selectman Bob Price has volunteered for now to bring the trailer to Unity Area Regional Recycling Center with his own vehicle.

The Liberty Library is operating curbside only, Monday 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Books can be requested online at liberty.lib.me.us/ or by calling 589-3161.

The Liberty Library is having an event to help raise funds for the ensuing year. They are coining the event a "Pie(less) Sale" and are asking people to donate to the library the amount they would normally have spent at the summer sales.

For example: three pies @ $15, $45; plants @ the plant sale, $25; jewelry sale, $10; dinner for two, $80; arts at the library craft sale, $20; two Pick-A-Prize Raffle tickets, $20; total, $200.

Please consider making a charitable contribution to help the Liberty Library continue to thrive. No amount is too small … even one $15 pie(less)! People can donate online at liberty.lib.me.us/donate or by check to: Liberty Library, P.O. Box 280, Liberty, ME 04949.

Lisa Dunn needs our help. On Nov. 21, Lisa suffered a stroke and is currently in a Portland hospital with a long road ahead of her. She has no health insurance and is going to be out of work for some time. A GoFundMe page has been set up to benefit Lisa and her family. To donate, visit tinyurl.com/yydk3f3y. Anyone who wishes to donate but does not want to use GoFundMe can send donations to organizer Hope Harriman, P.O. Box 415, Liberty, ME 04949. Every little bit is greatly appreciated!

Due to weather, trees down and road conditions, as well as uncertainty of power at the café, the Puncin St. Clair drive-in fundraiser will take place Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Lori's Cafe in Liberty. On Tuesday, raffle tickets will be available for purchase at 3 p.m., with dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. See you Tuesday!

That's about it for this week.
