Sympathy

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Dot Thompson's family. She passed away Monday, Dec. 7, at her daughter's home, Kathy Thompson Strickland. Dot got her wish of living until she reached her 95th birthday. Her children are Glen, Donald, Kathy, Beverly and Andy Thompson. Dot was such a wonderful lady. Loved going down to the Thompsons' home to visit, we always had such a great time.

Recognition

Jenese Harford got a letter from Erin Herbig from the Senate of Maine. It said congratulations on your retirement from Waldo County General Hospital after an incredible 36 years of service. Enclosed please find a Legislative Sentiment recognizing your accomplishment, signed by both the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House.

Erin said that she would have welcomed the opportunity to present this sentiment at the State House or to honor Jenese right here in Waldo County. Erin closed with, "Congratulations and best wishes for your retirement. Hope to have the opportunity to see you out and about sometime soon."

Then Jenese Harford received a recognition that read: "State of Maine Be it known to all that we, the members of the Senate and House of Representatives join in recognizing Jenese Harford of Morrill, who recently retired after working at Waldo County General Hospital for 36 years. We extend our congratulations and best wishes; and be it ordered that this official expression of sentiment be sent forthwith on behalf of the 129th Legislature and the people of the State of Maine. It was signed by President of the Senate Troy D. Jackson, Speaker of the House Sara Gideon, Secretary of the Senate Darek M. Grant and Clerk of the House Robert B. Hunt.

We are so very proud of you, Mom; you have done a lot for everyone. Happy retirement.

With everything that is going on in this world I hope and pray that everyone will be happy and love one another. Keep in touch with your loved ones, friends because you don't know when they won't be there anymore.

Everyone have a lot of fun this week and instead of getting upset with one another be happy and make this a better world.

Quote of the week:
