Has everyone got everything back together after that storm and power outage? I thank Alan, Tanner, Lisa and Chris for their help. I appreciate it more than you know. Also, a big thanks to Kiana for coming in before the power was back on.

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dean Harvey. He was definitely one of those characters who will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Dean.

We have been burning some wood and cooking on the wood stove, especially during the power outage. Dustin so enjoys an old-fashioned vegetable beef soup cooked on the wood stove. He says it tastes better.

Got your Christmas shopping done? I am getting on a first-name basis with all the delivery drivers. They are all great.

The shop on Depot Street, Thorndike, My Sister and I, is a great place to find some last-minute items. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Reminder: The Unity Area Regional Recycling Center will be closed Dec 24, 25 and 26 for Christmas and also Dec 31- Jan 2. They wish everyone safe and happy Holidays.

Happy belated birthday to my daughter, Lori Grant Nason.

I received a phone call from my cousin, Carolyn Elliott Harris, in Bath. We chat at least once a month and get each other caught up on our families, discuss other current affairs and generally have a lot of laughs. Her sister, Barbara, will celebrate her 80th birthday next month. She also lives in Bath.

Hannah Arendt is quoted as saying, "Mass propaganda discovered that its audience was ready at all times to believe the worst, no matter how absurd, and did not particularly object to being deceived, because it held every statement to be a lie anyhow."

Have a great week and get all those last-minute things done and then sit back and enjoy all that this season has to offer.
