Charles S. Quimby, 63, of Cleborne, Texas, formerly of Islesboro, passed away Dec. 23, 2020, with his wife by his side. He died of a massive heart attack.

Charles "Chuck" was born in Camden May 20, 1957, to Charles and Patricia Quimby. He was raised on Islesboro and in Lincolnville. He attended schools on Islesboro and in Camden, graduating from Camden High School. After school, he joined the Navy, stationed in California and on boats and ships in the Pacific Ocean.

After the Navy, he settled in Charlotte, N.C. After a few years they moved to Arlington, Texas. There, he landed a job at General Motors, where he worked until he broke his ankle and GM let him go under medical termination. After that, he and his wife toured the U.S. in their RV until COVID-19 put a stop to it.

Charles, sometimes called Chuck, is survived by his wife Tex Anne; son, Peter; daughter Jessie and son Cade; grandchildren Elizabeth and Lenore; father Charles; sisters Mona Lisa and Shirley and Aunt Isadora; nephews Michael and Zachary and a niece, Shelby.

Charles was predeceased by his mother, Patricia, who passed away June 30, 2020, and nephew, Stephen.

Burial will be at a later date in Texas.
