Hello All,

Here we are again, and it is 28 degrees outside. Some have been braving the cold, sliding and having fun on the snow. Getting snowmobiles out for short runs, there is not much snow yet.

My sympathy to the Doughty Family on the loss of their brother "Emmy" Emerson Doughty who passed on Jan. 2. His nieces and nephews remember him for his kind heart. My boys remember him playing toys with them when they were just kids here at the house. He loved to get right down on the floor and have fun with them. He loved tractors of all sizes and farm equipment. Of course I had them use real popcorn to haul or whatever we could come up with. Those were the days. He was always good to all the kids, and they stopped up to see Uncle Em. May he rest in peace now.

Another long-lost friend is Alice Porter who passed on Dec. 28, 2020. May she rest in peace. I didn't know where she was at.

Dog licenses

All dog licenses were due on Dec. 31, 2020, and you have now until Jan. 31 to license your dog. On Feb. 1, you will be assessed an additional fee of $25 if not done. All need current rabies shots. Call the Town Office to see if a rabies certificate is on file. 568-3907.

Another little girl is born. On Jan. 5, Audree Shea Larrabee was born, weighing 5 lbs., 11 oz. and 19.5 inches long. Her proud parents are Caleb and Kymberlee Rose Larrabee. She has grandparents who are smitten with her. Congrats to all.

Ice pond races

Everyone awaits the Unity Pond Ice Oval Races for the upcoming season. They're hoping it freezes soon. Some are getting snowmobiles ready to race for fun. Look for the info on the Facebook page they have.

Congrats are in order

Many congrats to Cooper Wren who raised $1,500 for the Shriner's Burn Unit for the children's hospital. He sold his pastries and snow cones. He did this at the Back 40 MX Snack Shack during four races this past year. He thanked his grandmothers for baking and friends who helped him with needed supplies. His brother Ryder raced there. Congrats to both boys. Thanks to the many sponsors.

Until next week,

So glad the election ads have stopped. It is over. Take care all. Be safe. There will be more Farmers to Families Food boxes coming from USDA, but not sure of date yet. Stay tuned.
