Hello all, I am back again. Waiting patiently for surgery. Not much excitement here. Watching the days come and go with the sun shining brightly this morning.

Ice races another week in Unity

The Doughty Family got trophies. David got first, Sara got third, Miranda got second, Rob got first and second, and Ralphy placed second.

Damien and Darren also received trophies, but I don't know how they placed. Congrats to all.

New business

A new business has started up in Thorndike. Tanner Grant has started his own plumbing business. He can be found on Facebook at "Grant's Plumbing Services." Call or text him at 944-4355. His book is filling up fast. I highly recommend him.

Our sympathy go to the family and friends of Patsy Abbott Miller, who recently passed. She grew up in Montville. She was a cousin to Mona Hilborn and aunt to Lisa Woods.

So sorry for your loss.

Homemade Ice cream

Sara and family celebrated her birthday again with Gramp Linwood and Gram Karen. Homemade ice cream is the best, along with chocolate cake.

Traveling by

Going by Route 137 and seeing all the big maple trees gone from in front of Pleasant Hill Cemetery still makes me sad. It looks so bare with them all cut down. They were replaced with others, though. Still seems odd to see them gone. You will be surprised to see the change if you haven't driven by.

More Food boxes

Farm to Family food boxes are going to be offered at Mt. View High School March 5, only from 9 a.m. to noon. At Athena Health Belfast only March 19, 9 a.m. to noon.

Races Now

On Saturday, Feb. 27,10:30 a.m. Ice Oval Races for the last time. Parking on the side of Marina Road.

Good News

The Swan Lake Grocery Store is opening back up March 3 since the tragic fire. This will make many folks very happy.

Much sympathy to family and friends of Jacob Whiting. He will be missed. I read his obit and how unique that most of the family had all names that started with the letter J.

Sweet Treats

Come to the Amish Community Market and Bakery for fresh fried pies Friday and Saturdays. Donut day is Wednesday! Open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Thursday and Sunday. Better hurry they all go fast.

Family in Arkansas

My mom has a cousin in Cabot, Ark., James Stewart. He lost his mother-in-law Feb. 20 Oma Sullivan Cook at age 90. Daughter Betty and James had her living with them. May she rest in peace. I never met him, just on Facebook to connect. Thanks to Dee Doughty.

Until next week

I hope you all are staying warm and healthy. Spring is not far away now and for that I am thankful. Thanks to all who have remembered me in some way. Be kind!
