A pedestrian was taken to an area hospital by LifeFlight after a hit-and-run collision in Swanville Thursday.

Jason Blake, 48, of Swanville, was struck in the area of 283 Oak Hill Road Feb. 25, police said. The driver fled the scene and police are seeking the public’s help in the investigation of the incident.

According to a GoFundMe page set up Sunday, Feb. 28, Blake was walking home from work on Oak Hill Road in Swanville when he was struck by an unknown vehicle and left on the side of the road critically injured.

He sustained a broken leg, ankle, ribs, arm and facial injuries. The campaign is aimed at helping him with his medical and travel expenses, since he will be out of work and does not drive.
