Condolences are being sent to family and friends of Joe Higgins. A character who will definitely be missed. Rest in peace, Joe.

We have been on a weather roller coaster of late. It has gone from 68 degrees in the gazebo, down to 12 degrees this morning. I am hoping the temperature will climb out there in a few days.

Dustin had a few birthday visitors, one or two at a time. Aunt Lisa and Chris visited with Dustin on Sunday and had some steak and cheese pizza and cupcakes. On Wednesday, Papa Dixon visited and they enjoyed snacks and lots of laughs. On Wednesday p.m., Tanner made him a visit, then later, Alan Sr. and Alan Jr. stopped by for pizza and birthday cake. I think he had a great day, considering he did not think anyone would be here. He got lots of calls and messages from friends and relatives. I think his 31st birthday was a fun day.

Sympathy is extended to the friends and family of Harriet Bernosky. I will miss seeing her at the local stores. A well-deserved rest, Harriet.

I have been thinking about what I will be planting in the garden this year. I was not able to have a garden last year, so anything I can grow will be wonderful.

Keep the Thorndike town meeting in mind, as it will be April 17 at 9 a.m. at the Fire Station. There are people needed to fill positions in the Town Office.

Benjamin Franklin is quoted as saying, "Keep your eyes wide open before marriage; half shut afterwards."

Have a great week and just keep exercising.
