Emerson H. Doughty passed away peacefully at a local hospital Jan. 2, 2021, from many years of Parkinson's Disease.

He was born July 31, 1949, the son of Clifton Sr. and Nancy (Alley) Doughty.

He grew up and lived in Knox his whole life, and was a graduate of Mount View High School, class of 1967.

He was retired from the Department of Transportation. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, collecting toy tractors, and when he stepped out his door, he had the enjoyment of seeing the "Big Rock" each morning.

He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Mildred (Doughty) Raven Brown and Dorothy (Doughty) Gardiner.

He is survived by Terry Gross and Christine Craft, both of North Carolina;  Nicole Doughty of Texas; and Carrin Santos of Cherryfield, who were all like daughters to him; also siblings Clifton Jr. (Gloria), Linwood (Karen), Ralph (Dee) and Kitty Doughty, all of Knox; Linda (Clyde) Rolerson of Thorndike; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family would like to thank Waldo County General Hospital and Hospice for their wonderful care.

Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
