I recently received word of the death of a classmate, Sherman Ferris. He was brought up in Freedom and went to school locally. Condolences are being sent to family and friends.

The town of Thorndike has officially set the date of town meeting as Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m. at the Thorndike Fire House. More info to follow.

The weather has been nice this week. It was 74 in the gazebo yesterday. Now, the weather is taking a drastic turn back toward winter. It can turn right around anytime and stay on course for a lovely spring.

I had a phone call from my schoolmate of years ago, Donnie Bagley. We discussed the political climate and the upswing in the stock market. He is pleased with everything at this time. That climate changes as quickly as Maine's.

Online registration is open for RSU 3 kindergarten for kiddos who will be 5 on or before Oct. 15. Anyone that is unable to register online is asked to call your local school for information.
