In 2013 a cat showed up at my house, toting three kittens. They lived next door, but the "mama" cat didn't want to live in a barn; she preferred my house. The owners had already had them spayed and neutered, so I didn't object too much. They moved in and I've claimed them ever since. "Mama" had her annual exam this week and it was determined she is diabetic. Special food and insulin shots. Good thing I love her!

Many thanks to the Unity Snowdusters snowmobile club for the generous use of their clubhouse over the last few months. We've used it for Planning Board, EDC and budget meetings so we could meet the social distance requirements.

Secondary roads have been posted. You will see the bright orange signs. There are certain exemptions. If you have questions please feel free to call the Town Office or one of the selectmen.

Unity Area Rotary is having another citrus fundraiser. They have partnered with Florida Indian River Groves to provide you with the freshest fruit available. Your fruit will be harvested the very same day it's shipped to them, ensuring that you receive fruit that is hours off of the tree. Now's the time to pick up a box of navel oranges that are sure to be bursting with flavor or a box of sugar-sweet, Indian River red grapefruit. See your local Rotarian FMI.

Deepest condolences to the family and friends of Rae Jean Knowles who passed away in Florida on March 7. I have fond memories of her and her husband Bob from when they owned Unity Raceway. At Unity College's 50th anniversary dinner celebration, my table was fortunate to have Rae Jean and Bob sit with us. They certainly kept us "kids" entertained!
