Hello Waldo!

I hope you all were able to take a moment and enjoy the beautiful sun and mild weather we had. The south side of our house is clear of snow and ice and for the first time I was able to take our 9-month-old out to play in the grass and dirt. He loved it! I look forward to much more exploring outdoors with him this summer. What a difference some time in the sun makes for all of us.

I have trays of herbs sprouting in one of the rooms in our house. How exciting to see little clusters of chamomile so effortlessly popping up. These seedlings plus the taste of spring weather — I feel myself coming back to life too. I’m growing Tea Garden Starter Kits for sale this year; a big bunch of four types of organic seedlings (chamomile, lemon balm, spearmint and tulsi) for you to plant and start your own herbal tea garden. Email me if you’re interested in them.

Sue Blais caught her resident opossum in action! She opened up the barn one morning and there it was! What a great picture she was able to get. She said most of the animals were unawares, but when the cat came in everyone got excited! Thanks for sharing, Sue.

Anyone else have any fun critter sightings lately? I’ve been seeing so many owls here on the East Waldo Road all winter.

A reminder that March 27 is our town meeting, at 9 a.m. at Town Hall. Masks are required.
