Alta L. Brown, 96, went to be with her Lord and savior March 1, 2021, in Belfast.

She was born in Swanville May 11, 1924, to Charles and Flora (Hall) Lenfest. Alta attended Crosby High School, met and married Roderick Brown, and they settled in Morrill and raised five children together.

She enjoyed word search books, board games, bocce, cooking for her family, tobogganing and snowmobiling in the winter and roller skating in her younger years. She loved everything outdoors — gardening, picking berries and apples, tending her flowers.

Alta enjoyed a trip to Disney with her family when she was in her 80s and rode every ride she could. Alta loved family get-togethers, spending time with family and sharing stories of her childhood. In 2019 she was the holder of the Boston Post Cane as the oldest resident in the town of Morrill. Alta and Roderick were past members of Faith Temple Church, where they also served in the food pantry.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Roderick Brown; sons-in-law Barry Littlefield and Larry DellaMattera; and grandson Anthony Kane.
