The town is seeking bids for a three-year rotation of vegetation management for 17.87 miles of state road. Email montville@fairpoint.net, or call 342-5543 for more details. Bids are due by 6 p.m. April 12.

Montville Selectmen have decided the town meeting will be held June 5, though a venue has not been determined. Montville has reserved space at the Mount View Complex for free, although there is a cost for any tech support needed.

Selectman Cathy Roberts will confirm with the school about occupancy levels and tech support costs. Another venue option is the Montville Field Day field on Center Road. Tents, a sound system, and a generator would be needed for an outside meeting.

A warrant workshop will be part of the April 12 selectmen's meeting. April 16 is the last day for any warrant changes, and April 23 is the last day for any edits to the Town Report.

Roberts spoke with Unity Area Regional Recycling Center staff, who asked that residents clean all their recyclables. According to Jeff Reynolds, UARRC manager, If it’s dirty, it can’t be recycled." Generally, Montville residents get a "B" grade on our performance, he said.

Roberts reported that seniors can get property tax relief for volunteering with the town if the town has an ordinance that allows for it. Just food for thought.
