My sincere condolences are being sent to the family and friends of Jerry Sullivan. He was a lifelong friend that always had a smile waiting for the next person to come along. I will miss him, as will many others. Rest in peace, Jerry.

We have a new town clerk at the Thorndike Town Office, Anita Jewell-Gleason. Stop in and say hello and make her feel welcome. There will be no new registrations now, but you may reregister your vehicle in Thorndike. All new vehicles may be registered in a neighboring town, Troy, Unity, Knox, etc. Welcome, Anita.

Sympathy is being extended to the family and friends of Joyce Bunker. We shared a few laughs back in the day. Rest in peace, Joyce. She will be deeply missed.

Thorndike's annual town meeting will be held Saturday, April 17, at the Thorndike Fire Station. This will be a mask and social distancing event. To participate in the meeting, you need to attend in person. You can be a spectator but not participate by Zoom or tune in to 97.9 FM on your radio. There are some important decisions to be made. If you wish to have a voice in town affairs, you must attend in person. If you have any questions, please call the Thorndike Town Office at 568-3655.

There will be a chicken barbecue, auction, raffles, etc., to benefit Stephen Fowler on Saturday, April 24, beginning at noon and until all the food is gone. Eat in or drive through at the Snowdusters clubhouse on Fisher Road, Unity. A half-chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, salads, rolls and dessert for $10 per plate. Watch the group, Chicken barbecue and fundraiser for Stephen Fowler, on Facebook. This is a public group. Log on and see what has been donated, current bids, etc.

Pay attention to where your vehicles are parked at night. There are some missing catalytic converters in the area, on Bailey Road, Knox, and surrounding areas. If you do not have a game camera up, you may want to have one aimed at your vehicles. I think someone needs to get a job and quit roaming the neighborhood.

Happy birthday to my birthday twin, my sister, Donna Shute. Also, happy birthday to my grandson Taylor and my nephew Ryan.

Burt Reynolds is quoted as saying, "You can only hold your stomach in for so many years."

Have a great week, enjoy our beautiful weather and go for a walk.
