This world lost its kindest soul with the passing of Christine Alice Stewart Hubbard, 77, to a long-term medical condition.

Christine was a loving, giving woman who never had an enemy or a cross word for anyone. She enjoyed reaching out to others, and at one time had over 60 pen pals. She loved the simple things in life and was happiest when she could give simple gifts to others.

She was a devoted wife to her husband, Harold Hubbard, who died 18 months earlier.

Christine grew up in Freedom and was the daughter of Roland and Elva Stewart. Her parents, sister Mary McDonald and brother Kenneth Stewart all passed on before her.

Before her passing, she spent a year in Maryland with her daughter Brenda, grandson Brent and grandaughter Chrissi, who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her three children, Laurel, Roland and Brenda, and six grandchildren, all of whom she loved fiercely. Her grandchildren are Christina Bourgoin, Brent Bourgoin, Sarah Hubbard, Meghan Hubbard, Atlas Hubbard and Aiden Hubbard.

Her family plans on giving her a memorial service later this spring.
