A person associated with Mount View High School has recently tested positive for COVID-19.

In an April 22 letter to staff, students and families, Regional School Unit Superintendent Charles Brown said anyone who was a close contact has been notified.

A Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention representative or school official will contact close contacts directly, Brown said.

He encouraged parents to monitor themselves and their students for symptoms and to call a health care provider if symptoms do exist.

Questions for the school can be directed to the RSU 3 health office by calling 568-4606 or for general COVID-19 questions, dial 211 (or 1-866-811-5695).
