Live Outside the Library continues Searsmont Town Library's summer concert series on Saturday, June 19, with the outstanding Blues Prophets. From Waterville, this Chicago Blues band fronted by DW Gill (harmonica, vocals) has been playing together in some form or another since 1976. Dedicated to the electric blues tradition, they have played across the country and opened for some of the biggest names in blues history.

The concert begins at 4 p.m. at 37 Main St. South and is "shine only."  The rain date is Sunday, June 20, at 4 p.m.

COVID-19 protocols for outdoor gatherings will be followed, including physical distancing between folks and the performers. Bring your own chair or blanket. Admission is free, but registration is required. Send contact info and the number of people in your party to searsmont.town.library@gmail.com.

Funded in part through generous grants from the Onion Foundation, Friends of Searsmont Library, and the Maine Arts Commission, Live Outside the Library aims to fill the summer with energetic and inspiring acts out on the lawn.
