Town Office

Tai Chi will be held Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. starting June 8 down at the harbor, outside. In case of rain, they will move back to the Town Hall lower room. Please call 567-4147 for more information. This program is jointly sponsored with the Community Library. All levels are welcome and there is plenty of space for social distancing.

Don't forget recycling dates are June 10 and 24.

Condolences to the family of Alfred (Fred) DeRedin, who passed away in Sandy Point on May 31. He was a member of the American Legion Post 157 and a scholarship in his name has been set up in his memory.

Condolences also to the families of Clarence Elden and Vera Dyer.

Donna Kelley McNamara is selling her baked goods again on Muskrat Farm Road in Stockton. Jim Nichols will be selling his produce on Saturdays starting at 10 a.m. on Steamboat Wharf Road, offering whatever is in season. Andre's BBQ next to the Stone Fox Creamery on Route 1 is open on weekends. Both Rainbow Farm and Frog Song Farm have farm stands and are also selling their products at area farmers markets. Stockton Harbor Oyster Co. will have oysters available soon; check their website for when they will be ready. The Hichborn restaurant will also be buying them for their customers.

The harbor is getting busier and busier now, and warmer weather is predicted for this week. Schools will be finished soon and there are lots of students who may be looking for paid work. This is always the busy season for outside yard and garden work. If you contact the high school, they may be able to give you a student's information for employment.
