Students have finally reached the last week of school at Mount View High School with many activities planned throughout the week.

Marching practice for senior students will take place from Monday, June 7, through Thursday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to noon in the high school gym and at the practice football field.

The Pops Concert, which will feature performances from the high school, middle school and choral students, has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the practice football field. The middle school concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. Intermission will include a barbecue dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the high school concert will be at 7 p.m. The barbecue will be free for students and $8 for others.

Senior Night will be held Friday, June 11, at 7 p.m. at the practice football field. Senior students and their families are invited to attend with a dessert buffet provided. The ceremony will include awards and the senior slideshow followed by a celebratory fireworks display.

Senior Parade will be held Saturday, June 12, at 10 a.m. with students arriving at 9:30 a.m. at the Unity Shop 'n' Save. Senior students, their families and the community at large are invited to attend. The parade starts at 10 a.m. from the Unity Shop 'n' Save and ends at the Field of Dreams.

Mount View High School graduation will be Sunday, June 13, at 1 p.m. at the practice football field. Senior students and their families (up to 12 people per student) are invited and are asked to follow Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, including social distancing and wearing a mask if distancing is difficult. During the ceremony, students and families will not be required to wear masks.

Project Graduation will be held Sunday, June 13, at 6 p.m.  Senior students will gather at the high school lobby before being driven to The Forks, where they will have overnight recreational activities followed by hiking or whitewater rafting Monday, June 14.
