Two graduate from UNH

The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire in Durham May 22 and 23: Emily Morse of Lincolnville, who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and Griffin Nye of Belfast, who graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science: medical microbiology.

Students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65 to 3.84.

Swanville woman graduates cum laude

NEWTON, Mass. — Hannah Richards, a resident of Swanville, graduated cum laude from Lasell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion design and production. The undergraduate class of 2021 was honored May 15 at a ceremony on Lasell’s Taylor Field.

Nelson earns degree

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Kylie Nelson of Searsmont graduated May 22 from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in team and project management.

Islesboro man graduates from St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.U. — Forrest M. Boucher of Islesboro was one of the more than 450 members of St. Lawrence University’s class of 2021 who earned their degrees following the commencement ceremonies in April 18.

Boucher graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and philosophy. Boucher attended Islesboro Central School.

Nadeau earns master’s degree

SEARCY, Ark. — Jenni Nadeau of Unity is one of more than 700 students who received a diploma at Harding University’s spring commencement ceremonies May 7-8. Nadeau received a Master of Science degree in information systems.

SNHU honors six Waldo County students

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Southern New Hampshire University congratulates six area students on being named to the president’s and dean’s lists for the term that ran from January to May.

The following students earned grade point averages of 3.7and above to be named to the president’s list: Rebecca Munster of Searsport, Madelyn Blanchard of Thorndike, Kaylee Pena of Stockton Springs, Kyle Robbins of Monroe and Milessa Gatheright of Winterport.

Katie Miller of Palermo earned a GPA of 3.5 to 3.699 to be named to SNHU dean’s list.

Hunt makes president’s list

PLYMOUTH, N.H. — Betsy Hunt of Thorndike has been named to the Plymouth State University president’s list for the spring semester. To be named to the president’s list, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better. Hunt is a adventure education major at Plymouth State.

Three area women inducted into Phi Kappa Phi

BATON ROUGE, La. — Cora Gavett of Palermo, Bailey West of Stockton Springs and Melissa Hutchins of Belfast recently were initiated into the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest  all-discipline collegiate honor society. Gavett was initiated at University of Southern Maine, while West and Hutchins were initiated at the University of Maine.

Lincolnville woman named to Castleton dean’s list

CASTLETON, Vt. — Sophia Buckley-Clement, of Lincolnville, was recently named to the Castleton University dean’s list for the spring semester. To qualify for this academic honor, students must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5.
