STOCKTON SPRINGS — The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating the death of a 3-year-old child from the town.
Police were notified Sunday, June 20, at approximately 2:30 p.m. about the incident.
The child was taken by a family member to Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy was performed by the Chief Medical Examiner Monday, June 21. The cause of death is not being released at this time.
Detectives are investigating and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
