SEARSPORT — As part of Searsport’s 175th anniversary celebration, Penobscot Marine Museum presents “Ripped From the Headlines: Tales of Bravery, Shipwrecks & Courage at Sea.”

On Thursday, July 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., Searsport’s rich maritime history will come to life with dramatic reenactments and readings from newspaper stories of bravery, courage, daring rescues, and other adventures on the high seas. Tickets are $20 per family (up to 10 people).

The event will take place outside throughout the Penobscot Marine Museum campus, and is suitable for children and adults alike. To purchase tickets, visit penobscotmarinemuseum.org/events-list/.
