Robert F. (Bob) Bryant, 70, left this world on July 7, 2021, at his home on his beloved Kaler Road. He was born June 3, 1951, in Camden to Carleton and Frances (Potter) Bryant.

Bob graduated from Belfast Area High school in 1969 and joined the Navy shortly thereafter. A hardworking man, he retired from the field of electrical construction. Bob was a skilled artist, painting signs for small businesses around Belfast, some of which are still hanging today. He was especially skilled at the art of cartoon characters and created many beautiful pieces for his family and friends.

Bob’s pride and joy were his four grandchildren. Some of the special times spent with their Grampa were playing his favorite game of cribbage with Zach, taking day long trips to Milo to visit Colin and Tilly, and mornings spent with Jara taking her to school. Some of Bob’s favorite pastimes were playing golf with his son Derek and his nephew Vincent Bryant, attending parties at Wedge’s, and attending concerts with family and friends. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox play, a love he found for the team after going to see his first game at Fenway Park with his brother Bruce. A special memory for Bob was his trip to Florida with Matt Weaver, a much-needed and deserved vacation. Bob was a devoted friend and will be forever remembered by his “fluffy” beard, his laugh and his love for the Blues. Although he did not play, Bob had a deep appreciation for Blues guitar and attended the Blues Festival in Rockland whenever possible.

Bob spent his last two years happily living in the place where he grew up. Kaler Road held many childhood memories and was a special place for him. His wish was to be there when he passed and his children will be forever grateful to Carol and Chris Beal and their son Conner, for making his wish come true.

Bob is survived by his brothers Bruce Bryant and his wife Linda of Belfast, Randy Bryant and his wife Alberta of Belmont and David Bryant; his children, daughter Robyn Crossman and her husband Thomas of Milo, and son Derek Bryant and his wife Sara of Belfast; his grandchildren, Zachary Bryant, Jara Brown, and Colin and Tilden Crossman; and his dog and best pal Angus. Bob also had many nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.

A gathering will be held to celebrate Bob’s life and memory on Saturday, July 31, at 1 p.m. For those who wish to attend, please contact his family for more details.
