BELFAST — There are two shows in one for the Belfast Summer Nights series Thursday, July 22. The David Clarke Jazz Trio kicks things off at 5:30 p.m., featuring Clarke on guitar, Bill Batty on drums, and Ezra Rugg on bass. Listeners can expect some smooth jazz standards from this trio. “David is one of my favorite guitar players in Maine,” said organizer Ando Anderson. “His improvisations are creative melodic and articulate. Equally inspiring is Ezra’s upright play and Bill Batty’s drumming.”

Following is another trio, headed by Noah Fishman, who returns to Belfast for his first hometown show in nearly two years. Fishman, on bass and mandolin, will be joined by local favorites Jamie Oshima on guitar and Maya French on violin. Bring a picnic, a chair and a friend, and enjoy an evening of joyful, spirited music by the bay from this Maine-based trio.

The show runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Steamboat Landing Park, 34 Commercial St. Concerts are free; donations in the hat gratefully accepted. CDC guidelines are followed.
