MONROE — Helen L. Elwell, 98, died July 4, 2021. She was predeceased by husband Ralph, parents Blake and Emma Kight, son Arthur J. Elwell and great-granddaughter Julia Bourque.

She is survived by sons Ralph Elwell Jr. of Monroe and Adrian Elwell; son-in-law Jens Schlueter of San Francisco; daughters A.  Delaine Nye of Augusta and Alyce Wherren of Gloucester, Mass.; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was an avid crafter and made friends with everyone she met.
